Well we are back from our holiday and I wanted to share the excitement! First of all we drove to Utah. The drive was pretty uneventful. We drove through the night so that Jadyn would be sleeping. She woke up every time we stopped for gas but then quickly fell back asleep when we got going, thank goodness. She was sooo good! We had a lot of fun in Heber with Renae and Tom and the kids. Renae and I went shopping and I am afraid I spent way too much money! I was saving up though for shopping in the states, and it was worth it! We got to meet William for the first time and he is soo cute, and such an angel baby. It was really fun to see how much Kate and Sam have grown up too. they were so nice to Jadyn and played with her so much and she just soaked it in. She just loved them! Here are some pictures of the clan.

Jadyn loved playing with William!
check out that winning smile!
Next it was of to Mexico! We flew out on Sunday and spent a week there. It was amazing. the weather was perfect and the resort was beautiful. Jadyn didn't seem to whine cry for a whole week, she just loved it there, the sand, the water, the sun. I love holidaying! We spent the first few days just out on he beach or by the pool, played some beach volleyball and read a little. On Scuba diving day Josh woke up really sick and wasn't able to go. it was the one thing he was most looking forward to and he stayed in bed all day! Poor thing. Apparently it is the best scuba diving next to Australia where we went in Cozumel. Of course I couldn't go either being pregnant so I just went along for the ride and went snorkeling instead. Of course it wasn't quite the same, but fun nonetheless!
The front lobby of the resort - beautiful!
Jadyn helping unpack when we arrived - look familiar?

Jadyn saw this little Mexican girl playing with a ball on the beach, she had her own ball to play with but she really wanted this ball, so she was nice enough to share and they ended up playing catch together, it was the cutest thing ever!
Eating mangos by the pool - they have the best mangos there!
more fun in the water
The last day there we went to see the Mayan ruins. It was amazing and fun to learn about it all. We went to Chichen Itza and Tulum. Tulum was so beautiful because it overlooked the ocean. We booked with and LDS guide and so were able to get learn LDS perspective, it was pretty neat.
Chichen Itza
Tulum - this one reminded us of the Cardston temple!
On the way home we had a layover in Mexico city. We stopped in to check out the temple and the visitors center, and thats about all we had time for.

The flight home was an interesting story in itself. We boarded the plane as usual and then proceeded to sit in out seat for he next TWO hours without moving. There was a storm that night and they were worried about the weight and safely so they were trying to get a stop somewhere along the way to fill up on gas and it took forever to figure out. In the end they just decided to unload everyones luggage and have it flown the next day. So after sitting on the plane for about an hour and a half we looked out the window to watch the crew proceed to UNload all the luggage. What a headache. The fun part was that we got to spend an extra day in Heber city and visit with the fam while we waited for our luggage to arrive! The drive home was kind of scary there was a storm that night too and the roads where terrible. Thankfully we made it home safe and sound. We heard that one of the passes had been closed only minutes after we passed through. I am so glad we left in time or we would probably still be in Utah waiting out the storm! It was a fun holiday but it's also good to be home.
UNloading all our luggage, I was so ticked, I had to get a picture!
bumping to some tunes on the way home
Thanks Aunt Kristi for sharing your time share with us, we had a blast!

what is it with terrible flights home!? as if it isnt bad enough that you have to leave paradise...aka mexico, but the flight home is always awful. kari and i had to make an emergency flight into Denver because they didnt fuel up the plane enough!!! it delayed us so much. plus we almost missed that flight becuase we only had an hour lay over and were running aroudn the airport like mad. we just made it! but we're back home, safe adn sound. though i think i'd rather be still soaking up the rays! i'm so glad you guys came. it was an absolute blast!!!
Laura! I'm glad you posted about your vacation, I've been looking forward to hearing about it. It sounds like you all had an amazing time! Haha, it sounds like everyone has bad flights from Cancun, when I was there our plane was delayed a couple hours because of a storm too. I guess that's the price of going somewhere so nice!
AWESOME update Laura!! You look so cute and that whole trip looks sooo fun! Is it easy to have babies on the trip with you? What about when you went to HI? Was it tough? I just want some advice if we take a tropical trip!! Anyway looks like fun~!
