"What, you love me all of a sudden?".
She said it about 4 times and then it finally clicked. When Josh was leaving for work (he is doing a few night shifts this week) I was busy again with Heidi, who was screaming for no reason but to hear how loud her lungs could actually scream, while he was getting ready to leave, then finally he was almost out the door and so I ran over to him and gave him a goodbye hug and kiss. Then he said to me "What you love me all of a sudden?" as a joke, and I guess she was listening!
Around the same time I had turned on some music and was dancing to it and trying to get her to dance with me (I am not a good dancer) and she loved it, thought this was so much fun dancing in the kitchen on the little rug by the sink. Well later on I moved the rug because I was sweeping, and about halfway through she came over and took the rug and wanted to put it back in it's spot by the sink. Odd, I thought, she has never cared this much about organization around the house. So then I peek around the corner to see what she was doing, and there she was again dancing on the mat to the music that was playing... using my bad example of dance moves! Well they look cute when she does it...
So the summer weather is almost gone and my garden is pretty much done, the days are getting longer, and it is all so sad!! But happy at the same time, I am loving the fall colors, the leaves, the clothes.... and looking forward to Halloween! Here are a few pictures to sum up our ending summer days!!!
Eating homemade popsicles leftover from morning smoothies. What these two happy kids don't know is that these popsicles are filled with flax seeds, spinach an coconut oil! (sneaky mom)
Scooter riding! Almost every day around 3:30 Jadyn meets the neighbour, Kiarra outside to play the late afternoon away. Kiarra is 8 and when she gets home from school is always so excited to see Jadyn. if we are not already outside, she'll often come knocking on the door to see if Jadyn can come out to play. It is so cute! She's like a big sister. Jadyn is so used to it now that before we even pull into the house after preschool she is already asking if she can play with Kiarra. They either draw with sidewalk chalk or go for a scooter/bike ride (Jadyn hasn't mastered the bike with training wheels yet so she usually opts for the scooter) Sometimes they even get all the neighbour kids and play in our blow up jumping thing in the backyard. With a 3 and 1 year old somehow our backyard has already turned into the neighborhood party house!

The sidewalk chalk drawing. Jadyn and Kiarra draw, and then Heidi takes a nap in it, and then she eats whatever is left over.
I got called as the Beehive advisor a couple weeks ago. For an activity night Sandra taught a photography class with the MiaMaids and we joined in. It turned into basically a photos shoot. I forgot how much girls that age love getting their photos taken. It was so fun to have models that actually sit still for me!! The top one is of my 2 beehives, and the bottom is all the MiaMaids and beehives together. They are all so beautiful!!!
