Thankful Thursday

A friend of mine does a thing on her blog called "Thankful Thursdays" where every Thursday she writes about all things she is thankful for (go figure) I love the idea, and although i can't commit to writing every Thursday I wanted to share some thoughts on today.

Yesterday I got this email from Jadyn's preschool teacher and it warmed my heart:

"Hi Laura

I was wondering if you would be willing to help out with something. We have a little boy in class who is really anxious and has difficulty relating to other kids. Jadyn is good with him and will hold his hand etc when he is upset. He would benefit from getting to know some of the kids out of school – it might help his anxiety if he had a few special friends. Would you mind if I gave his Mom your phone number so that he and Jadyn could perhaps have a few play dates?

Best wishes"

I am thankful for a sweet and loving daughter who already has a big heart and is willing to give of herself to help another person feel good. What an example she is to me!

2. I am thankful for a loving husband who is supportive with anything and everything I choose to do and tries his best to make my life easier (last night while he helped me to tag all my bows that needed to head up to the store today, he sat down with me until it was finished! He also gutted the oven and super cleaned it all on his own doing, fixed some holes in the ceiling, helped his Grandma fix her phone, read stories to the girls, got groceries and laid in bed until 2 in the morning talking to me about my concerns and worries as of late and finished of with a lovely priesthood blessing making me feel like the luckiest woman in the world to have this honorable priesthood holder in our home.) I know everyone thinks their husband is the best in the world, but that is only because they have never been married to MINE :o)

3. I am thankful for the gospel and how it change lives and how full our lives are because of the knowledge we have and our faith in the Savior. I couldn't do it without him!

4. My sweet Heidi who puts her head down on my shoulder every night and morning and cuddles for a few peaceful minutes before and after bed time.

How blessed I am!

Great post and yay to fabulous husbands!

It's definitely good to be thankful, but almost has a greater impact when we take the time to write it down...and what a blessing for your kids to be able to read this when they are older!

adorable about Jadyn at preschool! That is so sweet and so wonderful to know that our little ones have concern for others :)
