Remember these kids?

Usually they are the stars of this blog, but lately have been getting a back bench in the world of the family journal. So here is a special tribute and update of the happenings in their lives.

Heidi - 18 1/2 months old

a whopping 26 lbs.
blond hair with little curls at the back if I don't comb them out.
brown eyes just like mommy
as easy going as they come, she is just so go with the flow it is incredible
although on that note, she is learning to be feisty and wont let Jadyn take toys from her anymore, she fights back with a vengeance!

Some of her favorite things:

-anything Dora, Dora shirt, Dora doll, Dora movie, Dora books. She calls her "Dowa" and loves to walk around pointing to her shirt saying "Owa" and is double excited when Jadyn also wears her "Owa" shirt. Is it bad that an 18 month old already has a fascination with a fictional cartoon character?
-dogs, she is still obsessed. Every time she sees a dog she repeats "wuff wuff" over and over again until it is gone, and will only sleep with her special "wuff wuff" under her arm at night and has it in her arms when I pick her out of her crib every morning.
-feeding her dolls with a baby bottle
-Jadyn, she loves her sister, I catch them giving each other special hugs and kisses throughout the day, she just loves to show affection to her big sister
-reading stories, she likes to sit with a book in hand and a running dialog of gibberish
-standing on a chair by the counter "helping" me cook, she can't stand knowing I am cooking something and her not being a part of it, she has to either be helping or eating whatever I am making
-stickers! She loves to put stickers on her hands and shirt, it is the best part of jadyn's ballet class at the end when they all get a sticker on their hand and Heidi always gets to be a park of that. At home she always finds my stash of stickers and puts them all over her body and around the house.
-her belly button, it's her favorite part of her body, and pinching noses, hers or ours
-shoes, this girl has an extreme shoe fetish. She goes nuts when I tell her it is time to get her shoes when we have to go out, she waddles over to the shoe box and picks out what ones she will wear, she also likes to wear them around the house whenever she can
-playing get away. Every time I tell her it is time for a diaper change she gets this awesome grin on her face and starts running in the opposite direction laughing all the way.
-outside, LOVES to be outside running around getting fresh air, she often asks me to put on her shoes (shoooosh) and open the door (dooooooor) so she can go play, too bad there is still snow on the ground :o(
-nursery, she loves going to nursery on Sundays
-my pin cushions, she loves taking out the pins and sticking them back in, this is a dangerous favorite pastime of hers that she only gets to do while being supervised closely!
-babies, she loves seeing babies and talking about babies

Some of her words and sounds:
-mama, dada, Jadyn(Dadyn), baby, shoes (shooosh), sock, door, wuff wuff, meow, raaar, hot, fall, stuck, shower, thank you (which is more of a sound, that I can't spell!) Dora (Owa), food, no, there you are (when we play peek a boo), all done/all gone (ga gone), poo poo, pee pee, doll, water (wah), gum (seriously! She learned this from Jadyn who asks for it constantly!) and she seems to be learning a new one every couple of days, it's so fun!

Jadyn 3 yrs 5 months

33 lbs
straight blond hair and blue eyes
a little Miss Boss
loves to be tickled and cuddled and has a sensitive and caring soul

Some of her favorite things:

-polly pockets and barbies, people are always amazed and commenting on her ability to entertain herself for so long with a running dialog between her dolls and the creative ideas she comes up with. She enters into her own world when she is playing dolls and it is so cute to watch what she comes up with. It can last for hours.
-cars, she likes to line them up and "park" them , and sometimes they also talk to each other as do crayons on occasion, and eating utensils, batteries...
-Calaway Park, about twice a week since last summer Jadyn has asked to go to Calaway Park, I cannot wait until it is open so I can finally say YES.
-watch barbie and Disney Princess movies
-read books, she likes to be read to and since she can't read she will recite the story that she knows, her current favorites are all the Franklin the turtle books, the bearnstein bears series, and the barbie books.
-she also loves to read from her book of Mormon and Bible readers (the ones with the pictures) her favorite stories that she asks for repeatedly are: "the hanging one" (when Jesus dies on the cross!), "the hurt leg one" (the story of when Joseph Smith was little and had to have the operation on his leg), and "the tied up one" (when Laman and Lemuel tie up Nephi on the ship and the liahona stops working.
-YMCA babysitting, I can never get her out of there when it is time to leave, she just just wants to stay in there and play all day.
-birthday parties and birthday cake, she goes nuts anytime there is ever talk abotu a birthday party, she loves to celebrate and loves that there is always cake to eat!
-her ballet class, she is a true ballerina!
talking, she talks non stop, whether it is telling me stories or her dolls talking to each other, there is never a quiet moment! And I don't mind one bit, she is exploring her world!
-her new "real" princess puzzle that her and daddy bought the other day, one that doesn't have to be put into the obvious precarved (I just invented that word) spots.
-play dates, she loves all her friends

I am sure there is way more I could say for both of them but that is what they have been doing lately.
