The first week of January we took off to Mexico for a week with my brother and his wife and Mya. We left the other girls at home with my mom for half the week and sister in law the other half. We really needed a getaway and Mya was a great little traveller. We took the stroller that can lay down flat and that was her converted bed for the week while we were out and about. I think she enjoyed having full attention from me because she didn't stop smiling all week. She is such a smiley baby. Anyway back to Mexico.... we had lots of fun. On the first night that we had a sit down dinner, one of the servers and Josh made quick friends. Josh speaks fluent Mexican, which should not be mistaken with regular Spanish, his accent is definitely full out Mexican, and it is always fun to see the reactions when they first hear him speak their language. they love him! So he invited us to his house the next day where he and his family made us feel right at home, they cooked us a lovely meal and took us to a beautiful Senote, which is basically an underwater cave. So we snorkeled there for the day. It was fun to see real Mexico outside of the resort. We did go shopping in town one of the days but shopping in Mexico is always the same, so it wasn't all that exciting. We also spent and afternoon taking photos of josh and Nicole all dressed up at the beach. That was fun. People walking by on the way over and at the beach were cheering and yelling their congrats, it was so funny. We just embraced it :)

Mya enjoyed sunbathing in the hamock.

I was preoccupied by all the little fish swarming around me as I was getting in. Oh and I just noticed that my postpartum belly looks a little more like a prenatal belly, again, I think I'll embrace it :)

Yes that is my dorky hand waving to the camera!

The group of us )(minus me) after snorkeling in the senote. That is out new friend Sebastian in the middle.

They cooked us some yummy food right outside their house on the griddle on the ground. I love real Mexico. They are so laid back and always willing to make us comfortable. The food was the best food we ate all that week.

Mya was a champ like I said above, but she had a few moments where she just really wanted her bed. This is one of them. What a cute little sad face. I heart her.

This is what she did the whole rest of the week, hung out in her stroller watching us play.
I might have had a little too much fun with photoshop on these next ones, but I don't care, they look good!

and there's a lot more where those came from!
