Today Josh and I headed out to meet some good friends of ours for a fun family photo shoot. There are more photos to come but here is a little sneak a peek above! I can't wait to finish editing the rest of them!
It was sooo cold outside but the snow was gorgeous. I was telling Josh how beautiful I think it is when it is snowy and crystallized outside, but then I added that of course I would take summer any day over this! It really is pretty though and since I already had my camera in hand I snapped a few photos outside the house.

I love the sequence of these next three:
Heidi is as thrilled about the crystallized snow as I am
She decided to take a taste
And doesn't know what hit her! lol! This was followed my many giggles :)
Jadyn taking her taste and followed by many giggles. It was freezing outside but who cares when there is snow to eat!Aren't my snowmen cute? I can't bear to take them down even though it is clearly way past Christmas, as long as there is snow on the ground, they stay.

Tonight I had a notice that there was a package at the post office (I love packages) and since I knew what this one was, I couldn't wait, so I packed the kids up, pj's and all (Josh had left for work by this time), and went to the post office to pick up these beauties:

The big family photo is last summer at the Taylor family reunion and is going to Josh's parent's to update their "family wall", the one of Matt and Chloe is their wedding gift (photos of that day to come as well!) and the last one of Jadyn is for us, just cause we like the photo. They are all floating canvas wraps and the family photos is a regular finish, the other two are metallic finish. I am in love with them! Below is another photo so you can see how they are "floating" on the wall, so fun! The photo doesn't do them justice...

While we were out today with the Kyle's, we were laughing at a funny story that I realized I forgot to tell to my blog readers (that's you). A couple weeks ago I got pulled over down the street from my house for speeding. (I know I know) well as soon as I rolled down the window I started jabbering off how so sorry I am and that I promise to slow down, and would he pleeeeease let me go. (it was pathetic). Well he seemed to almost consider it, but then said he needed to see my license and registration and then he left with it and chatted with is partner in the car for a while... a long while. I knew I wasn't getting out of it. So he came back and told me that he had to give me the ticket since I was going pretty fast and there were kids in the car.... anyway, I looked at the amount (all I really cared about at the time) as he was handing it to me and it was blank, so I said, "well how much is it?" and he looked surprised and then smiled a little, and I looked at him and said "OH! Let's leave it like that, then I can go and fight it!" he smile and said, "ok go". So off I drove with my incomplete ticket in hand, and wondering later why he didn't just rip it up right then and there. Obviously to save face with his partner or something right? So I email my friend Sue (who's legs you can see above) since her husband is a cop and asked her what they think about it, I wasn't sure how to go about fighting a ticket I am guilty of, but just remember hearing that if there is a mistake on the ticket they don't make you pay. So as we are going back and forth through email over the next two days, I end up getting a call from the officer who tells me that since there was a mistake on the ticket, he is not going to process it and I can go ahead and rip it up. I thanked him profusely and he told me that it was good to have met me and to have a great night. Boy did I ever! (I think I did a victory dance even, and then I proceeded to tell Josh the whole story which I was keeping from him out of shame, but there was no longer any shame only excitement, only it wasn't as exciting for Josh since he didn't know about the ticket to begin with.... too bad.

such a great story...I had a sort of similar experience and I'm certain still to this day that the cop made the error on purpose (I paid the ticket and the money was sent back).
nice work...but perhaps we both need to learn the same lesson to stop speeding. LOL
