Heidi has always been my more sensitive child. She is more of a mommy's girl and more cautious in new situations. She's always been a little more reserved and always more aware of the feelings of people around her. So it shouldn't have been a real surprise what she said to me today.
Imagine it:
I am sitting at my desk making bows and soother clips. Heidi has her mini desk and chair pulled up beside me working on her own sort of craft.
I use a hammer when I make the clips so I can secure the snaps. So every so often I am hammering away, and each time I hear a little "ouch" coming from Heidi's mouth. So then I say "Sorry Heidi, is the hammer hurting your ears?"
And she replies, "No mom, I am saying ouch for the ribbon".
Apparently my ribbon has feelings too.
