Furniture makeover

I found this microwave table at a garage sale last summer, and it has been bugging me ever since. All my cupboards and trim in the house are white, the table is a dark wood, and then I just had this ramdom piece of unfinished furniture. So with Sue's inspiration I got to work and did a makeover. It was so fun, and I had lots of paint leftover form the bunk beds so when the kids went to bed and Josh was working a night shift earlier this week, this is what I did!

The next morning the girls came to Rona with me to pick out some new knobs, I was looking at some cute crome ones, but they were stuck on the flower idea, and it was two against one, so they won! I am sure glad they did! Once I got them on the table I was hooked, they looked so cute and summery and even match my dying flowers above! Love it.

And we gave it a little rustic charm with some sanding around the edges :)

Yesterday it rained so on the way to ballet the girls got distracted looking at the worms, they are fascinated by worms.

And this is what happens when I try to mow the lawn with all the kids around. Poor Mya.

I love this Laura! Thanks for posting it, Brad's parents just gave me an old desk and I was wondering whether to stain it a dark wood, or just paint it white. I love what you did to this microwave table and I think I will paint it white. Did you just use regular paint? I think I will have to call you for more details. I love it, great job! I also checked out Sue's and her dresser was adorable!
