We have spent endless hours playing with the new Christmas toys and mostly the 'Crafts" my girls do love their crafts. I remember when I was younger and we had these bead that you put n those boards (see picture if you don't know what "these beads" and "those boards" are, though I don't know how you wouldn't know!) and then you iron then with tissue paper of course so you don't wreck your iron, and voila, you have a fabulous piece of art! Heidi slept with hers for a week under her pillow she was so proud of it!
Here they are hard at work with her bedtime "do's"

Jadyn has been really organized lately, every night after we put the girls to bed, she quietly gets out of bed and I always know she is up because I hear the dresser drawers banging over and over again, and she lays out her clothes for the next day, as well as Heidi's, and the nail polish she wants to wear, and the jewelery and headbands of course. The whole ensemble is all ready to go before she goes to bed. I am sure I could work this into the bedtime routine somehow, but she seems to really enjoy being up when she is not supposed to be and quietly organizing her clothes. Then she quietly sneaks back up to her bunk and goes to sleep. So cute. I love it. One night I went in when she had been up for a while doing this and asked her to go to bed now that she was done, and she replied that she was just up because she wanted to make them "hug" (them being the clothes) so she put them close together with the arms wrapped around as though they were hugging. And then went back to bed. She kills me!
I have figured out the best way to get Mya occupied while I cook is to just leave the fridge door open and she does her thing, pulling bottles out and rearranging them. I highly recommend it. Unless of course you are into conserving energy and having a warm house and cold food. As far as I am concerned, that is highly overrated in comparison.
Jadyn and Heidi love all things girly, I often find them making their way into the drawers in the bathroom, digging for lip gloss or anything really that goes on lips or eyes. They find my lipstick (I have never worn lipstick a day in my life, but have some free ones that came in my clinic bonuses lying around) and they went to town this day. This is after most of it had been washed off! It was unreal, Heidi's face was completely covered in bright red. I laughed so hard, then took a picture, and straight into the tub!
Jadyn got it all off before the camera came out.
Heidi wasn't so quick!
For the last couple weeks I have noticed that My's mullet has been getting increasingly out of control. It was confirmed on Sunday when I tried to put her hair in pig tails and could only get the back in since the top is no longer than when she was born! and then she just looked really mullety (yes that is a word, I just made it up) for church since the pigtails came out and it was just a huge mess in the back, and still so straight in the front. You know the look I am talking about, business in the front, party at the back, right? Poor girl. So we all laughed at it during relief society and then I decided when we got home that it was time to go. I was feeling ambitious, so I did the same thing I did when Jadyn's mullet got out of control. Got out the scissors and did a hack job all by myself.
Except this time I might have gone a little too wild (that's code for SHORT)
Oops.so then I thought I would add in some layers so it doesn't look so blunt, and that seemed to do the trick. When it is dry it isn't so bad, and hair grows right? Hahaha.
Yes that is a huge rash on her back that I discovered all over her body one morning after trying some new body wash in her bath the night before. Note to self, stick with the all natural stuff, she doesn't react to that! Poor girls all have Josh's mega sensitive skin.
At least it can still fit in pig tails!
On second thought, maybe we'll wait a few more months for that....
At least someone is pleased with it! :)PS we have a conditional sale and offer on the go right now. Pray for us that it goes through!
