Easter weekend

This weekend was busy and fun. We started out on Friday driving out to Josh's parents house for an early Easter dinner. We did an easter egg hunt with Karen's boys in the backyard. Everyone had so much fun watching the kids and how excited they were over the "hunt" (that's the best part) they played all day with their cousins and since the weather was so nice the got to run around outside. A little snowy and muddy but we take what we can get right???

Then Saturday Nathan and Laura were over and since they missed the egg hunt on Friday they wanted to do one, so we just recycled my girls eggs from the day before (they thought this was a great idea!) added in a few more, and walked down to the park and scattered them around for the kids to all find. Heidi had a hard time when it was all over finding "closure" she insisted that there were more and didn't want to leave. Silly girl!

Last night we went to a cute little raw/vegan/gluten free cafe in town and it was so yummy! Nikki babysat so we could go kid free and it was divine.

Today was church and then we sat out on the back porch and relaxed and enjoyed the hot sun that was shining and it felt amazing! I haven't felt a hot sun in 7 months! Later in the day we went for a walk and found a cute little "forest" close by to explore. Shortly after Mya had a complete meltdown (the cause of which is still unknown) causing me to have a complete meltdown and the rest of the day was shot.

Want some pictures? Of course.

So excited!

Heidi and her shades

Ben and his super cool look

Briggs is going to be a major heartbreaker!

This is a typical Brigg's look for me. Hahaha.

All the kids and their loot.

Yay! ps I love that Jadyn is resting her head on my shoulder, I am so lucky!

Grandpa Taylor and Great Grandma Taylor

Mya is a machine lately, she motors around like nobody's business, and rarely goes the way I need her to go. Now I understand why people use those backpack leashes. I need one.

So exciting!

I love this look, she was running around so excited every time she saw a new one!

Mya actually stopped at one, she didn't get the whole concept of collecting them all, she just wanted to eat the one she found. Obviously!

Mom, mom, mom, mom. This is how she asks me to open it.

I was totally sneaky. Right?

When we got back to the house, Adam dumped all his candy out and laid it on the carpet to count and see what he had, it was so cute. So of course the girls follow suit. And Mya was in Heaven, all this candy in her reach!! I had to do a little crowd control.

They loved eatign the candy they got, but after a few i took it away and they haven't asked for it since. I think the most fun is the hunt, for me too!

I don't knw how these two photos got it here. Apparently Nikki had a lot of fun babysitting!

Heidi after church on Sunday, the kids are loving the sunshine we are finally getting around here!!

Heidi and Mya on our Easter walk, they love exploring and finding things on the ground, Heidi collected some sticks and grass, Mya collected some rocks. They are treasures.

Chloe was kind enough to snap a few photos of me since I needed one for my website. I actually did my hair and makeup and wore a new shirt ALL IN THE SAME DAY. I don't generally look like this is real life.

Chloe is taking photos in Saskatoon and is so talented!

I love the photos too. The boys haven't really asked for their candy either, which is nice! You will have to email me the Easter pictures. What did you get at the restaurant? Did you try any of the desserts?
