Jadyn's tree

Jadyn came home from school with a tree today. It is Arbor day so all the kids got one. The instructions said it needed to be planted right away. Since we have a tiny backyard and no where for this white spruce to grow big and tall, I was having a hard time figuring out where she could plant it. Jadyn was very excited about her tree and couldn't stop talking about it and so we wanted to make it special for her, but we really do not have any space. We settled on an area in the back that is just rocks and dug out a bunch of the rocks for the tree to go into. Hopefully it will survive and grow as tall as it can while we are still in this house. I figure one day it will outgrow that spot and need to be cut down, but hopefully by then she will be able to understand better! What a sweet girl, I just love her spunk and excitement for life!
