Spicy Mya

I promise I will get to the Christmas post eventually.  But for now, I have been wanting to do this post for a long time!  If I could describe my 3 year old Mya in only one word, it would be "spicy"  She got so much spunk, I can hardly keep up with her!  It is always an adventure when I get my phone back from Mya. Usually I don't notice for a while , but when I do, I can't stop laughing.  It is a regular occurrence and it seems to make her quite happy.  She is quite the character and seems to have a healthy self esteem!

I thought I would share a small dose of what I find on my phone regularly:

First off, we have double chin Mya.  

Of course, wide eyes Mya is quite the adventure too!

And the classic "I just put on makeup I wasn't supposed to but I think I look beautiful anyway so why not take a picture!"

We have crazy hair Mya:

Fishy lips

The squinty eyes/funny lips pose.

Fat face?

"I am beautiful, look at me!"

 

And honestly, who can resist these teeth!  They are lovely!  Why not take a picture!

Spit face

Scared face?

"I have makeup on my eyelids, and I want to take a picture, but I can't see because my eyes are closed, so I almost missed my face!"

And then there are the regular everyday photos that daddy takes with his phone too!

The day she won the scratch and win at the grocery store!  Clearly a highlight of her life!

There are many faces of Mya, as we can see.  She can take me from fits of laughter to crying in 5 minutes flat.  She has the most intense personality.  When she is mad, she is mad, when she is happy, she is really happy, and when she doesn't want to leave the play place at the mall, she will make sure EVERYONE at the mall knows it with her screaming through the whole mall attracting the attention of every.single.person. who stops to stare as we walk by. (this one may or may not be VERY fresh in my mind!)

In summary, Mya keeps us on our toes.  She is sweet and sassy, stubborn and feisty, she knows what she wants and she knows how to get it.  She basically thinks she runs the house.  And she would, if we let her. She is a daddy's girl and she definitely has him wrapped around her little finger!

Josh has recently dedicated a Garth Brooks song to her.  And I cannot stress enough how each word descirbes her perfectly!  The lyrics go like this:

 She's sun and rain, she's fire and ice
A little crazy but it's nice
And when she gets mad, you best leave her alone
'Cause she'll rage just like a river
Then she'll beg you to forgive her
Oh, she's every woman that I've ever known

 She's anything but typical
She's so unpredictable
Oh but even at her worst she ain't that bad

I sure love my Mya.  She keeps us all on our toes!

And if we were a little unsure if she like her photos taken, here are a couple more I took of her when I was taking pictures of baby Jake at 7 months, and Mya asked if she could do a photo shoot too!
