Hawaii II

Well I'm back at home now. The last half of the trip in Hawaii was a blast. We were able to go the the Polynesian Cultural Centre last week. It was really entertaining and interesting to see all the dances and music and skills of the different Polynesian Islands. My favorite was the Samoan. He climbed a coconut tree like a monkey, and squeezed fresh coconut milk with his bare hands. We spent all day looking around and then went back for the evening show where there was more dancing and fireknifing at the end. That was the best part!

We spent some time at the beach (obviously) taking in the sun and playing in the sand and water. Once Jadyn tried eating the sand a few times she decided that she doesn't like the taste and stopped trying to eat it (thank goodness) and she wasn't so nervous of the big waves after a while either.

It took a little prodding but I was able to get Cherisa out on the boogie board, and she soon realized how much fun it is. Thats the last time you'll second guess me isn't it Cherisa!

These trees (I can't remember the name of them) the
branches fall down an grow back ino the ground to form new roots
and new trees, thats why they look this way and they are huge!

These are from the canoe pagent and the Polynesian Cultural Center.
Pictures just don't quite give it justice, they were really talented!

The grounds are beautiful too

Those trees are so cool, I've never seen anything like that before (never been to Hawaii either).

Sounds like you had a fun time!

Oh, Happy Birthday!!!
