Our "employee"

When I was in Hawaii in July, Josh told me that he was going to build our fence while I was gone. Being naive I completely expected it to be finished when I got home! Well here we are late in August and still building away. What we didn't realize when we started this project (by "we" I mean Josh, since there is not much I am doing to help!) we didn't realize what a rocky area we lived in. Josh was pulling huge boulders out of the ground, needless to say, delaying the project a little.

Last weekend one of the Mexican houses that Josh works with had a big party that got a little out of hand and ended with a few fights. One of the men had tried to break up a fight and ended up getting his four front teeth knocked out. In turn his employer decided that he should be sent home to Mexico, along with another guy. They weren't able to get a flight out until next week, but of course still needed to eat, so Josh decided to "hire" him to help with our fence. He was thrilled to have some work and we were thrilled to have him do it! So he finished digging our holes for us this week, and now it's on to the next step!

Josh and Jonathan and our Korean student, Sean working away.

Ok I wrote that all last week so now it is another week and the fence is just about done, just the finishing touches left to do. Josh has been working so hard. It feels good to have that nearly done!

Here Josh is posing with the huge rock he pulled out!

The (almost) finished project!

Oh - fences are sooooo hard hey?? We had our holes done by the bobcat and it was still so hard. I feel your pain, but it looks like you had lots of help - and the fence looks great!
