Catch up

Warning: This is a long one!!!

I was just looking through some photos of the past month and realized I have been bad at blogging and have some cute ones that need to be posted!

About a month ago I got together with some old friends for a fun lunch at my place. It was so fun because we all went through Young Womens/high school together and we haven't really seen much of each other since then, so we got all together for lunch and let all the kids play and/or babies scream/sleep/eat etc. It was really fun, we have to do stuff like that more often. We got the classic shot of all the kids lined up on the couch to remember the day! Poor Meagan's baby (on the left) had a hard time, she was ready to go home after being woken up by screaming toddlers (Kayla and Jadyn) but I MADE her sit there because I selfishly wanted this photo, she wasn't so sure she wanted to be in it so she made sure i knew her feelings!!! Jadyn and Kayla were so loud and screaming and running through the whole house together. Whenever they see each other that seems to be the first thing they like to do... scream. And then after a little while they get sick of each other and fight the rest of the time, but this day they were pretty good. Dashanne's baby just sits quietly as though she is not even there and I could just sit and pinch her cheeks all day long!

Hailey, Heidi, Jadyn, Ella, and Kayla

So that was last month. And also last month my cousin Radelle (who was on of the three cousins pregnant this past summer if you remember from previous blogs!) brought her one week old baby for a visit. He seemed like such a miniature thing compared to Heidi, who was so miniature compared to Jadyn, so of course we had to get a pictures of all these munchkins together! For some reason Rockwell (Radelle's baby) was really shy that day and kept hiding his face. He is such a calm and quiet baby, and made my girls seem wild!

These are some of the activities that Heidi has been enjoying lately.

She is stable enough now to hold herself up in her exersaucer and is fascinated with all the little toys in front of her!

She sits contently in her Bumbo playing with her hands while I get work done on the computer or sometimes she sits on the counter while I cook (which reminds me someone told me that Bumbos have been recalled because of incidents where the parent put the Bumbo on the counter and they flipped themselves out of it onto the floor!!!Yikes! I will be careful when she gets stronger for sure!) Although I think that is a dumb reason to recall something since it clearly states on it not to use on elevated surfaces so wouldn't it them be the parents (like me) negligence not a manufacturers defect???

Her play mat has some really interesting toys dangling from it that keep her very occupied. She sometimes lies there kicking her legs and flailing her arms like crazy over all the excitement!

And this is what Jadyn likes to do lately... play in the cupboards, she play hide and seek ;0)

Grandpa came over one day especially to take Jadyn out for a special time. He played animals and blocks with her (her favorite things) and then took her to Tim Hortons. She loved the outing as well as her Grandpa Taylor!

Last night we went to see the Nativity at the Stake centre. My sister Niki played Mary and for some reason instead of a donkey they had a lamba.... Jadyn called the Lamba a horse and thought it was pretty neat that they had sheep at the church.

Watching with Grandpa so she could get a better view.

Last weekend was or ward Christmas party, and wouldn't you know it, Santa Clause himself showed up! So now we don't have to face all those long and boring mall line ups to get photos done.

Some pre-party photos all dressed up!

Trimming the Tree

Jadyn worked very hard to get the tree looking just right!

Cherisa was clearly very impressed!

Today I am busy getting gifts wrapped and decorations up (that is ongoing for about the past 2 weeks since I am never satisfied) Christmas is almost here!! Jadyn and I made sugar cookies last week and she had a ball helping me decorate with icing and sprinkles, and then ate way too many cookies!! And we delivered them to the Neighbours. hopefully she will understand the spirit of giving this year!
