Zoo day!

This isn't just any loaf of bread. This loaf of bread it the FIRST non brick bread that I have ever made. I try hard, very hard to make bread, all kinds of bread in facts, 7 grain....brick, whole wheat....brick, sprouted grain.... brick, I even tried all white bread just to see if I could do it since everyone says that is the easiest no fail bread to make.....still a brick! It is not the oven, not my bread maker, not my mixer, not the type of wheat, because I have tried all types, not the recipe, because I have tried many..... it is just plain and simply ME. Well yesterday (Mother's day 2008) I made my first successful PERFECT loaf of 100% whole wheat bread!!!!! It was a very momentous occasion. What did I do differently this time? I have no idea!!! I wish I knew so I could do it again but as far as I am concerned I didn't do anything difference so this may be the first and the last loaf of bread baked in this home, or it might be the first of many. there is nothing like a fresh baked loaf of bread.... yum!

Anyway had a great mothers day yesterday, unfortunately the bread was the only picture I got from the day! Josh let the girls spoil me (Thats honey!) and then Jadyn spoiled me with pictures and chocolate form Nursery. I have honestly been waiting patiently for these days when my kids will come home from church on mother's day with a special something for me that she made herself. It is just one of those "mom" things that I have always looked forward to!

Today we had a fun day. We met up with Meagan and Hailey at the zoo! Jadyn of course loved it and we couldn't get her to sit still. The babies... well they just kinda sat in their strollers all day taking in the scene. I still haven't been able to see the baby elephant since every time I go to the zoo it isn't out! Bad timing on my part!

Jadyn and the gorilla having a staring contest. This was her favorite part. She talked about the "monkey" the whole rest of the day!

This peacock was definately showing off. there was a crowd around and Jadyn and this other girl got really close and then all of a sudden the feathers flew open and they were beautiful!

Tonight at Bowness part for our ward family home evening. Jadyn teaching Heidi how to go down the slide

This is a couple days ago, I thought they were pretty cute together!

Oh and good job on the bread thing!! just so you know, I think someone's sabotaging your kitchen...and has been for years. I remember making orange julius at your parents house and it somehow ended up really really salty...or I remember josh tellng me about the apple crisp incedent. Someone is switching your ingrediants around!! That's it!
