So Valentines day got started early at this house, we took the kids to Denny's for breakfast. Jadyn ordered the alien face pancakes which she didn't eat a single bite of, she just wanted to look at it. Heidi on the other hand.... well she could have ordered two plates (as usual).
Then we got home and josh surprised us girls with these. Notice the single one on each side of the bouquet for each of his mini valentines girls? I thought that was so cute, how thoughtful! Jadyn was thrilled. Then I took advantage of the spa gift certificate on Monday and enjoyed a scalp massage with facial, and a Coconut Body Smoothie. Doesn't that sound divine? Like I said, I wish I lived there.

Does it count as a surprise when I came home from Costco last week announcing that they have a package of two $50 gift certificates for only $80 and I think that would be a fabulous idea for a valentines gift! At least he followed through! Who said that men can't understand subtle hint?

The girls got new valentines t-shirts from great Grandma Taylor that they sported on the special day.

And we all danced up a storm while Josh was working. Jadyn is a ballerina. She moves with grace and poise. notice the concentration with the eyes closed on the second photo. She kills me. I love everything about this girl!

Then heidi and I took a turn dancing around the room while Jadyn played photographer.

Josh worked Valentines day evening so I got together with a few girlfriends who were also single that night for various reasons. I hired a babysitter and we had a lovely dinner and then they came over to my place and we watched a movie. It was a great Valentines day!
