Drool bibs and outside play

I know that drool bibs should not usually be a part of a blog post title, but they have been such a big part of my life lately that thats the way it has to be. When Jadyn and Heidi were babies, I didn't understand why people put bibs on their babies, they looked weird and besides little babies aren't eating anything yet anyway so why do they need a bib? I mean can a baby really drool enough to warrant needing a bib to catch it all? My babies certainly didn't. I didn't even use burp cloths when I burped them after a feed, it just wasn't necessary because nothing ever came back up. Well I certainly have had my eyes opened! This is how a day in the life of Mya goes:

-wake up, eat, burp and spit up all over
-then for the next our or so of awake time she drools and spits up more. I hear Jadyn and Heidi yelling to me all the time that "Mya spit up, mom!" and franticaly trying to find the burp cloths
-then she sleeps, wakes up with spit up all over her bed, and eats and again for all her awake time she spends it spitting up her food and drooling. Weird.

So after a few months of this and changing her outfit multiple times a day I I decided to sit down the other night and sew her 8 new "drool bibs". The photos only shows 6 since two were already in the laundry before they made it in front of the camera. These have save my life! And the hassle of all that laundry and changing clothes is gone. I will never look at babies to young to eat food yet wearing a bib around town the wrong way again!

Here she is wearing one that was gifted and never got used by the other two girls! Isn't it cute?

Today we had such a nice and sunny day outside so we spent it outside playing in the snow. Mya loved the fresh air and the girls had fun making their "baby" snowman. I think he is pretty cute.

Heidi the marshmellow

After we were done, I went to check on Mya and when I turned around I thought Jadyn was kissing the new snowman...cute? No, she was actually taking a bite out of his nose, leaving only a little stump! We then headed in for snack time...

Jadyn really wanted a picture of her playing "king of the castle/mountain" notice the HUGE mountain she is standing on? Little daredevil.

Yes, I was one of those, "why are people giving me teeny bibs for a newborn baby" types. My sister's and friend's drooly spitty babies enlightened me. Hope the flow stops soon, but those are cute bibs for the meantime. And love the snowman, especially her stylish hat.

hahaha I love that they ate their snowman friend - what characters! I love the bibs! So funny it took you until your third baby to need one - I guess that's kind of lucky!

Raven was the same way as Mya. I didn't know anything else existed besides being spit on several times a day.

I miss the sun very much. I never realized how blessed we were in Alberta to have so much of it. Now sunny days are few and far between. Summer can't come soon enough.

I love your pictures. Your girls are adorable....and so is the snowman (i mean snowgirl).

Laura your kids are the cutest! I love that Jadyn took a bite out of the snowmans face - so funnY!

So Hailey was the pukiest baby ever. Ugh...sooo pukey that the bibs did nothing for it. But she didn't drool. So I didn't understand the bibs until I had Paige. But wow - Paige was a DROOLER! How do they produce so much drool?? Mya's so cute though!!

I hope you aren't signed up for drool like we seem to be with Jack. He was really drooly and spit up a ton and he still has a constant flow. I skipped the bibs because they couldn't contain it. Good luck and we love the snowman too.
