5 months and ballet

Just thought I would include some photos of the girls at ballet, they are so cute in their little bodysuits and tutu's!

I asked Jadyn the other day when we were on our way to her swimming lesson what she liked best: YMCA class (swimming, gym, and craft time), preschool, or ballet.

Jadyn: swimming lessons!!.... and preschool!
Me: what about ballet, do you like ballet too?
Jadyn: no, not anymore
Me: (surprised, it used to be the highlight of her week) what don't you like about it?
Jadyn: the part when we dance with the teacher
Me: what DO you like about it?
Jadyn: when we run around!
(Note to self, next year skip ballet and try gymnastics instead!)

Mya is a little over 5 months old already. I thought I would do a photo shoot for each month until she is a year or so, if I can manage to get around to it that is. Anyway so yesterday I tried and got great results!

And finally a good one so I had to do 3 different edits just to celebrate. Here she is in all her cuteness at 5 months. That was exhausting! :0)




At 5 months:

-Mya is sleeping alright at night, not as good as I hoped but only getting up once to eat and usually another time or two for a soother plug, and naps 3 times a day still. She is addicted to her soother, it's a new and different thing for me, she doesn't go to sleep without it, and I panic if I go anywhere and accidentally forget it.

-Hates her car seat just like the rest of them, lol!

-Crazy smiley, every time I look at her she is smiling so big for me.

-Loved like crazy by her two big sisters. She is so lucky. I wonder if there is a baby out there with sisters that love her as much as these girls do. Especially Heidi, she tells me all the time when Mya is sleeping that she is awake so I will go and get her from her crib, regardless of whether she is sleeping or not, she just can't stand it when Mya is napping instead of playing with her

-Around 15 lbs, I think, I don't really know since I haven't weighed her in a month or so, I guess I'll have to update this part tomorrow.

-Loves to watch me eat, if she is sitting on my lap at mealtime, she watches the fork or glass all the way up to my mouth, I think she is going to be a good eater when I introduce solids, we'll see.

-Is a charmer/flirt, any time I hold her away from me in public she is always smiling at everyone who walks by, I get so many people stopping to talk with her and she just loves to coo and smile for them.

-Wears pj's/sleepers all day. I remember with my first two dressing them up all the time when we went out as if they were my dolls. With Mya I always feel bad dressing her up because I am worried she is uncomfortable, or maybe the novelty of having a perfectly dressed baby has worn off. Poor girl. Maybe when she stops sleeping all day long she can wear real clothes.
