Camping x2

Last month we went on a couple camping trips. The first one was a ward campout for one night in Kananaskis. It was so fun for the kids to play around with all their friends from the ward. We started out on Friday night with some rain and cold, but that didn't stop anyone from having fun! the next day the Bishop set up this big productions with a King Benjamin address. He basically wanted everyone to understand that with the new Calgary temple going up we really need to step and and make sure we are getting our lives in order to be able to enter the temple when it is completed. It was amazing and although it was hard to concentrate with little kids around, we got the idea and were all inspired. The fun part was that we were all given a huge piece of burlap beforehand to decorate and make a tent out of, and before the address we all had out family tents pitched toward the "temple". Very cool.

Last week we headed out again with some friends of ours for a couple nights. We went to a spot by a lake and it was midweek and all the kids were still in school so we had the place mostly to ourselves. It was awesome. Nikki came along and was such a big help, not to mention a ton of fun to hang out with.








Chris built an awesome castle to relive his childhood dreams. The kids weren't allowed to step foot anywhere near it!

Remember toe socks from high school? Josh gives us new meaning to the term toe wedgie, he wears these shoes all over the place.
