Heidi's 3!

I can't believe my baby Heidi is already 3 years old! Time flies when you're having fun! So we had big plans for her birthday and we started out with a lovely pancake breakfast. In true birthday fashion we added a secret ingredient to the pancake to make them extra special (as a side note, my cousin in law Cari taught me how to do this while we were in Utah, this was my first try at it, they were yummy! All you do is put the regular pancake batter and then sprinkle a few chocolate chips on top, flip and voila, chocolate chip pancakes. It's that easy!) The kids thought it was fun and were super excited, but didn't eat them, not sure if it was the chocolate they didn't like or if it was just the birthday excitement, whatever, more for me!

Then we had a joint birthday celebration with Heidi's cousin Ben who turned 3 just the week before! We spent the day at Calaway Park and then came back to my place for a crazy bbq. I say crazy because I live in a starter home and the weather outside turned really bad as we were leaving Calaway, so we couldn't even send kids out to play. It was nuts. A good nuts. If you like to feel claustrophobic much. Just kidding.

Anyway Calaway Park was a riot, Heidi kept telling me on the rides that she is usually too scared of and likes me to hold her that I don't need to do that anymore "because I am 3". She feel likes suddenly she is all grown up now that she is 3. Pretty cute. She really does seem so grown up to me, when did that happen? (She started preschool yesterday which will be the topic of my next post, I decided to split them up into topic since the last crazy post :)

And the photos...

Birthday Girl!

The gang (except me, the camera lady.)

Jadyn and Ben and Karen skipping around Calaway Park holding hands, I love this!

You know you are really excited when your smile extends all the way up to your squished up nose!

Briggs was the highlight of this ride, he kept looking back as us as he rode by, such a big boy!

Enjoying a little birthday lunch.

Our special made DQ cake with a train AND a princess. Perfect.

Patiently waiting!

They took forever to blow out the candles with their tiny little puffs of air. Jadyn decided it was time to intervene.

At the very end we took the party out in the freezing cold for some silly sting fun! *Note: the silly string is still covering my backyard 4 days later...

Happy Birthday Heidi!
