Today started out just like any other day; Cuddles on the couch reading books with the girls. Only his morning was different. The cuddle on the couch included our brand new couch that just arrived yesterday from the brick. I love them. I love the smell of them, I love the colour, I love the fluffiness, and I love that they aren't white with marker stains, smoothie stains, pee stains... (you get the picture) they are perfectly clean (at least for a few days).
We decided to bake a chocolate cake, Jadyn helped me stir and Heidi helped by tasting the chocolate chunks. And we accidentally ate it for breakfast too.
Then we got bundled up and trekked off to my favorite store, Costco. (Sometimes I have to try to think of things I need at Costco just to justify the trip there.) In the afternoon Josh and I took turns heading to the tanning salon in preparation for our upcoming cruise. I am starting to look bronzed already, and that in itself makes a day pretty great don't you think?
The afternoon was spend cooking yummy chicken enchiladas (to be delivered later to a couple of friends) while watching Jadyn and Josh paint macaroni which then turned into beautiful macaroni necklaces and bracelets, which I took pictures of but just realized the memory card wasn't in the camera for it. (that was the only bad part of this perfect day)
Jadyn and I also took a small break to do our ab ripper X, she makes it look easy.
Cherisa popped in for a visit since she is in town from BYU Idaho, so we got to "catch up". (she has a juicier life than mine if you can believe it)
The day was warm and the sun was shining, that puts me in an extra good mood. I was meant to live somewhere sunny. It is in my genetic make up.
I then spent the early evening at an amazing massage appointment at the new spa that opened up just down the street from my house, which is beautiful inside and out! I wish I could live there, in fact I think I will be hiring the architect to build me a small spa if we ever decide to build a home in the future. I think I almost drank the whole jug of cucumber water, and I somehow went home with the oil she used on my sore spots. Go figure.
And to finish off the night, I sit here with my hair wrapped in a hair mask and after I wash that out, I am off to read my book on my new couches... or possibly in my warm bed... warm from the heated mattress cover josh gave me last Christmas.
I don't want today to end!
