SuGaR aNd SpIcE

You know the saying "Sugar and spice and everything nice, that's what little girls are made of"? Well that is exactly true, at least for these little girls here. Today I had a case of the flu bug and believe me it was not pretty. I went to bed last night after emptying my dinner into the toilet and I woke up this morning and whatever was left somehow made it's way out, followed by Jadyn a few minutes later all over my newly shampooed carpet. Lovely. So needless to say it was a movie day today ALL DAY. I needed to make sure I could get away with laying on the couch. Poor girls were getting so bored by the afternoon and asking to go to the park. You know you are bored when it is -5 and snowing and you want to go to the park. I have to admit though for what a downer I was all day, they did pretty good. They had their few moments of squabbles as siblings do, but for the majority they played really well together so I could doze off on the couch and they would just leave me alone. I do wonder though why all my energy was zapped and I couldn't hardly move without aching, and Jadyn seeming to have the same condition was still playing up a storm all day with the energy of a 5 year old? Beats me.

Anyway they were begging for some food at about 3:00 when I realized I hadn't made them any lunch yet. Oops. Jadyn suggested french toast which sounded easy to me, so I whipped some up and plopped them at the table and resumed my position on the couch. I had to leave my throne at some point and grab the camera because I kept hearing so many giggles and decided to be a good mom for at least 5 minutes of the day and snap a few pictures.

And, yes, I am on a b/w vintage kick today.

Mya just took a quick nap between bites.

I might be a little bias, but I do think those are the cutest faces I have ever seen!
